Louie is a refined yet mischievous Yorkshire Terrier, and near our home, there is a dog-friendly restaurant within his usual walking range. Louie prefers people over other dogs, so when many dogs are around, I often end up holding him. Still, because the food is good, we visit from time to time. Today, I want to share our experience at Ra-Ft Cafe, located in Arcoris Mont Kiara.
1. Location
Ra-Ft Cafe is located on the ground level of Arcoris Mont Kiara. If you arrive by Grab, you will usually be dropped off at the ground level, which makes access easy. Since the buildings at Arcoris have a similar exterior, the sign can be easy to miss. Looking for the outdoor area with red metal chairs helps identify the cafe.Because cars do not enter the ground level, the area feels open, safe, and comfortable. Many people walk their dogs here, and children often play nearby, yet the atmosphere remains calm. On pleasant days, it is also a nice spot for reading.
2. Menu
The menu at Ra-Ft Cafe follows a Western-style brunch theme. Signature items include eggs Benedict, croissant sandwiches, and coffee brewed from beans roasted in-house.I usually order the Ra-Ft Breakfast or the spicy aglio e olio, but the sandwiches, salads, and burgers are also well prepared. The food feels fresh and lightly seasoned, which works well for brunch. When Louie joins me, I only share plain vegetables from the salad without any dressing.
3. Dog-Friendly Seating
The staff are friendly and genuinely enjoy interacting with dogs. While there is no dedicated dog menu, bringing water and treats for your dog makes the visit comfortable. The floor is marble, but shade coverings prevent it from becoming too hot, even under strong sunlight.
Malaysia often has intense sun and frequent rain, so shaded outdoor seating is common. After brunch and a short walk, spending time here with Louie always feels calm and satisfying.
4. Overall Impression
The food at Ra-Ft Cafe is consistently good, but what stood out most was the welcoming attitude of the staff. Many guests bring dogs, and others simply enjoy seeing them around. Louie especially likes this place because he receives plenty of attention.Outdoor seating is limited, so visiting earlier during weekend brunch hours is recommended. Parking is available inside Arcoris, with elevator access to the ground level. Nearby shopping areas also provide additional parking options.
